Priority Baggage Handling

Priority Baggage Handling Policy

The Star Alliance priority tag is used for premium customers. It features the Star Alliance logo and the word "PRIORITY" and it should be attached to the bag tag so that it is highly visible and recognisable by all baggage handling staff to ensure that the bags with Priority tags will be delivered first to the arrivals baggage claim area.

This harmonised policy will ensure that our most valued customers receive consistent baggage handling service and this policy sets the minimum standard to be applied by all airlines. Recognition of priority status at checkin and the priority handling of checked baggage is offered to the following customers:

First Class

On all flights

Note: Some carriers do not provide First Class service.

Business Class

On intercontinental flights including connecting flights (for this purpose intercontinental is defined as travel between Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Africa).

Note: Some airlines offer Priority Baggage Handling to all Business Class customers.
